MOSCOW (Sputnik) The BAT Foundation for Future Studies survey found that 79 percent of Germans feared a recession amid the ongoing economic crisis.

Seventy-one percent of those surveyed said they were worried that the European Union member states would continue to drift apart, as the current economic and migrant crisis had fed into an increasing anti-European rhetoric.

The poll also underscored declining trust in German politicians, with some 87 percent of respondents expressing confidence that politicians would continue to lose approval.

The survey was conducted in Germany, with 2,000 people interviewed.
